Their intention was to advertise the university's diverse student body, but most found the manipulation offensive. The younger brother of a reporter for the school newspaper noticed the difference; he pointed out that the black students whose face was used, Diallo Shabazz, had a glare while the others did not. Officials at the school have apologized for this "error in judgement" and are reprinting some 50,000 brochures with a different cover picture.

A. What skills in addition to photography did Melanie Burford utilize to produce this slideshow?

----> She must have grown very close to this family because they allowed her into the most personal situations, including Gloria's wake, to take pictures and capture their pain. She must have utilized her personal relation skills, including compassion and empathy.

B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow.

----> The gospel singing by Miss West played in the background added alot of power to this slide show. It adds culture and makes the viewing more intense.

The most interesting effect?

---->The Pastor Rock videos, I think, is the most intriguing effect on the website. This man's a pastor who runs Living Hope, a church near Sugar Hill. In his videos he retells his experiences in Sugar Hill and the viewer get more of an idea about what life is like there.
